Wayvo - Know what's next

Privacy Policy

How Wayvo - Know what's next collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects information when you use the app, website and related services.

Last Updated: 7 October 2026

Effective Date: 7 October 2026

Wayvo - Know what's next ("Wayvo", "we", "us" or "our") is a journey companion application operated by MySocioHub Technologies LLP ("Company"). By using Wayvo, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

If you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, phone number where applicable, login information and account preferences. If you use a third-party sign-in provider, we may receive information permitted by that provider and your authorization.

Optional iOS launch interest

If you register interest in Wayvo for iOS, we collect the email address you provide, your signup date and your explicit consent to receive the launch update. We store this information in Supabase and make it available only to authorized Wayvo administrators, who may export the list to arrange the iOS launch notification. This does not create an app account or subscribe you to unrelated marketing. We do not verify the submitted address during signup. You can withdraw consent or request removal by emailing contact@getwayvo.com.

2. Location Information

When you grant permission, Wayvo may collect current or approximate location, GPS coordinates, location updates during an active journey, origin and destination, route information, distance travelled, journey progress and location associated with recommendations or journey events. We use this to provide journey monitoring, route-aware recommendations, nearby services, fuel and charging guidance, alerts and route-deviation detection.

Background location

Where supported and permitted by your device, Wayvo may process location while an active journey is running, including when the app is not displayed. Wayvo does not need continuous location access when there is no active journey. You can control permissions in device settings; restricting them may prevent features from working correctly.

3. Vehicle and Journey Information

You may provide vehicle type, fuel or energy type, EV information, battery percentage, preferences, destinations, journey history, interacted stops, feedback and charging-related information. We use this information to improve recommendations and journey intelligence.

Journey Scrapbook: local processing

Journey Scrapbook creates images on your device from the photos you select and the titles, places and dates you enter. Wayvo does not upload this scrapbook content or generated images to its servers, store them in its database, or send them to an AI image service. Photo selection uses the system picker rather than requiring access to your whole photo library. Scrapbook creation and export do not require online subscription verification. This local-only disclosure applies to Journey Scrapbook, not to other account, journey-history or optional trip-update-sharing features described in this Policy.

Scrapbook drafts and temporary files

Scrapbook drafts are kept in memory and are not saved as a permanent draft or cloud gallery. Temporary copies of selected photos and rendered images may be written to the app cache for processing and export. Selected-photo copies are cleaned up when the creator closes, or on its next opening after an interrupted session. Capture files and export copies used for saving are removed after use where possible. Shared export copies may remain temporarily so the receiving app can access them; copies older than 24 hours are cleaned up the next time the creator opens. Cleanup is not a guarantee of immediate or secure erasure from every device backup or storage system.

Saving and sharing a scrapbook

Wayvo saves a finished image to your photo library or passes it to another app only when you choose Save or Share. Saving may require device permission. The export is a newly rendered image rather than your original photo file. Visible faces, addresses, landmarks, place names and dates can still reveal personal information, so review the preview before sharing. Images saved to Photos, synced by your device or shared with another app are outside Wayvo's cache cleanup and are governed by that service's settings and privacy policy. Deleting your Wayvo account does not remove those copies.

4. Automatically Collected Information

We may collect device type, operating system, app version, language and regional settings, IP address, crash information, performance information, diagnostics and approximate usage information to maintain, secure and improve Wayvo.

5. How We Use Information

We use information to start and manage journeys, determine progress, provide recommendations and alerts, maintain journey history, personalize the experience, improve recommendation and EV prediction models, understand feature usage, detect errors and improve performance. We may use aggregated or appropriately de-identified information for these purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

Wayvo may use mapping, places, location, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, cloud infrastructure, notification, payment and app-distribution providers, including Google Maps Platform, Google Play services, Apple services, Supabase, Expo notifications, Open-Meteo, Photon and OSRM routing services. Mapping, geocoding, routing and weather requests may send location or destination information to these providers. These providers may process information under their own policies.

7. Automated Recommendations

Automated rules, algorithms and machine-learning systems may consider location, destination, progress, time, distance, vehicle type, preferences, historical interactions and available places. Recommendations are for convenience and are not guaranteed or authoritative.

8. Driving Safety and EV Information

Wayvo is not a substitute for safe driving, road signs, traffic regulations, navigation systems or driver judgment. Do not interact with Wayvo in a distracting manner while driving. EV range, battery and charging information are estimates that can vary with speed, weather, traffic, terrain, vehicle load, battery condition and other factors. You are responsible for ensuring sufficient energy to reach a suitable charging location.

9. Notifications, Credits and Payments

With permission, Wayvo may send journey, recommendation, safety, account, subscription and product notifications. Wayvo Credits are promotional benefits with no cash value. They are not guaranteed and may be changed, limited, suspended, expired or withdrawn at Wayvo's discretion. If paid services are offered, payments may be processed by an app store or authorized provider under its policies.

10. Retention, Security and Sharing

We retain information as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain accounts and history, meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and improve the Service where permitted. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service guarantees absolute security. We may share information with service providers, infrastructure and mapping providers, analytics and payment providers, authorities where required, advisers and successor entities. We do not sell personal information as a business model.

Optional trip update sharing

If you choose to share a trip update, Wayvo stores only the latest snapshot, which may include your destination, estimated arrival time, remaining distance, trip status and update or arrival time. Anyone with the link can view those details. The shared page does not include GPS coordinates or live location tracking. The link expires within 24 hours after the last update or trip end, and you can stop sharing sooner.

11. Your Choices and Account Deletion

You may manage location and notification permissions, update account information, stop using the Service and request account deletion. We will delete or anonymize information where reasonably required and permitted, subject to information needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention or dispute resolution. You can delete your account in the Wayvo app or follow the instructions on our account deletion page.

12. Children and Changes

Wayvo is not intended for children below the minimum legal age to independently use the Service. We may update this Policy and will revise the Last Updated date when we do.
